we decided to do animal farm as a result of a questionnaire sent out by PalkettoStage last year, asking which play the teachers would most like to be performed. the answer was animal farm, and so here we are. Theres another questionnaire this year, which will decided what be performed next year.
the images at the end of the show were chosen by our director, jonny kemp, and i think he intentionally tried to keep away from choosing anyone too current in the pictures, as we want the universal message of the play to come across and not make it an attack on one current issue. Thats why we havent shown other potential tyrants like mugabe there either.
